WELCOME to the biggest, the best, and the longest established business awards on Merseyside - the 2014 Echo Regional Business Awards.
The Liverpool Echo is massively proud to be hosting this event and to greet guests at St George’s Hall.
We are proud to be picking up the baton of a great tradition from the Liverpool Post as these awards celebrate their 20th year.
We are proud to be associated with terrific sponsors and our huge thanks go to key partners DLA Piper and KPMG who have given so much commitment to this event.
We are proud too, that we stage these awards in the middle of the International Festival for Business – six weeks of proof that Liverpool is as innovative, bold and business-like as any city in Europe.
We are proud that we have generated a record number of entries for tonight’s awards and proud to be able to salute the companies and the people who have helped grow prosperity and confidence in this unique city region.
The Echo has its own place in Liverpool business lore. We have been at the heart of the city since 1879 and the extraordinary growth in on-line audience we are witnessing, suggests we’ll be thriving in 2079.
We are determined to fly the flag for Merseyside business – through events like this, through the pages of our newspaper and websites, and direct to our hundreds of thousands of followers on social media.
Thanks all of you for making our mission so much fun and so exciting.
