THE Liverpool Post, in association with the University of Liverpool Management School, is today launching The Leaders 2013, our annual celebration of the dynamic people who make things happen in our city region.
The results will be published in our annual magazine, The Leaders 2013, distributed free to Liverpool Post readers in September.
From that list, a distinguished group of judges will select shortlists across 12 categories, who will be honoured at an exclusive, invitation only awards dinner at Liverpool’s Hilton Hotel in October.
That night we will reveal the winners in each category, and the overall Liverpool Post Leader of the Year for 2013.
It is already clear that there will be some very high profile and significant changes to our 250 list. Last year’s overall winner, Bishop of Liverpool James Jones, has announced his retirement, as has his Roman Catholic opposite number, Archbishop Patrick Kelly, and of course Everton Football Club will soon be announcing a replacement for manager David Moyes.
The categories covered by our list are business, creative, culture, health, knowledge, lifestyle, politics, professionals , the public sector, the third sector and sport, while we also salute the young people who are shaping up to be the great leaders of the future.
Liverpool Post editor Mark Thomas said: “We have some shining examples of great leadership in our city region, and we are delighted to be able to recognise their contribution to our well-being and prosperity.”
