Bangor University is a research-led University with an international reputation for its teaching and research as well as a strong commitment to the economic, social and cultural well-being of Wales.

The Institution has a long-standing track record for delivering high quality and award wining business support focused on inspiring innovation, improving performance and promoting sustainability.

We like to think of it as ‘Putting Knowledge to Work’, a University that is committed to bringing its expertise, facilities and people into play for the benefit of the region.  Pontio Innovation and our new Science Park development on Anglesey are the most recent examples of that commitment.

As part of that commitment Bangor University is again delighted to sponsor the prestigious Business Person of the Year 2017 Award.

We understand the importance of paying tribute to those business leaders in North Wales that inspire others, drive their organisations forward to success and put the region on the map.

This year’s winner will join an elite group of ‘alumni’ whose entrepreneurial approach, determination and drive for excellence in all that they do mark them out as worthy winners.
